Terms of using Sakinah

1. Acceptance of terms
By using Sakinah, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. What Sakinah is
Sakinah is a matching platform that connects Muslim families with funeral service providers in Singapore. Sakinah is not a payment processor. All financial transactions happen directly between you and the provider (via WhatsApp, phone, or PayNow), without Sakinah holding or processing your money.
Sakinah is free forever for families. No hidden fees, no subscription, no ads.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Sakinah account. Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent.
4. Account responsibility
- You're responsible for keeping your account secure
- You're responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload false, deceptive, or illegal content
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Send spam, hate speech, or offensive content
- Disrupt or interfere with the service
- Access other users' accounts or data without permission
6. User content
You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, messages, deceased records). By uploading, you grant Sakinah a non-exclusive license to display, store, and use that content solely to provide the service to you.
7. Provider listings
Sakinah displays a directory of service providers (ustaz, mandi jenazah teams, funeral service providers, mosques). While we make efforts to verify information, we do not certify, warrant, or endorse any provider. Please verify before engaging with any provider.
Any disputes or complaints about providers should be resolved directly with that provider.

9. Payments and financial transactions
Sakinah does not process, collect, or hold any money. Payments for funeral services are made directly to providers. Infaq and donations go directly to charities via PayNow. Sakinah is not responsible for any incorrect transfers, delays, or transaction disputes.
10. Intellectual property
The "Sakinah" brand, logo, and application code are owned by Sakinah. You may not copy, modify, or resell without written permission.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
12. Disclaimer
Sakinah is provided "as is" without any warranties. We don't guarantee the service will always be available, error-free, or meet your specific needs.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sakinah and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
15. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or via email.
